We've had a wonderful time putting this rug down in our play area. The kids can literally sink their toes in and just have fun without worrying about making a mess. We've had quite the adventure with mud marks already, but as soon as they step on it, you're left unscathed.

Its super soft and spongey texture has become my go-to spot for reading with my four-month-old. However, I do want to mention a couple of minor drawbacks - it isn't impact proof, so if you fell on it hard floors like mine wouldn't get completely cushioned. On the other hand, it's really comfortable to sit and play on which is perfect for our little one learning to roll and sit.
