Mei Tai baby carrying sling from SW China Xishuangbanna Dai minority culture

I bought this in Xishuangbanna in 1986 while travelling in south west China. I think I had visions of using it myself, but in the event I didn't. It is made of layers of cotton material, and is quite heavy duty.
